Join us to learn and see why Barcelona has been and still is such an unique place to all these amazing artists.

Overview

The City of Light journey, where we are not just rolling through the city, but cruising through the stories that shaped its artistic soul. As we explore the streets on our electric bikes, we will chat about the cinematic giants like Woody Allen and Almodovar that inspired themselves in the busily noisily streets of Barcelona. but we are also taking it back to the roots of Modernism and Art Nouveau – think Gaudí, Picasso, and the brilliant minds that found inspiration in Barcelona’s eclectic charm.

If we look close enough, we will see that all these minds are connected and inspired in each other. Here’s the low-key cool part: we’ll take a mellow 45-minute break in Poble Espanyol. It’s like stepping into an artistic daydream, wandering through the spaces that once echoed with the vibes of creatives from back in the day.

So, no need to stress – this is a relaxed ride, a chance to soak up the artsy atmosphere. Picture yourself not just as a tourist but as a savvy companion to the creators who left their mark on these streets. And to cap it off, a smart short film awaits you at the end, capturing the essence of your insightful journey through Barcelona. Grab a seat, hop on your eBike, and join us for a casual ride through the cultured heart of Barcelona – where every pedal brings you closer to the minds of Modernism, and every stop is a chance to connect with the thinkers who shaped this city’s creative history.

Your guide will begin check-in fifteen minutes before the tour is due to begin. Try to get there bit before your tours starts, especially if you know you will want a helmet. That way we can try out different sizes and still start promptly.

It’s easy to get lost in the streets of the old town, even if you’ve lived here for years! If you think you’re lost or know that you’re going to arrive a little late, try to let us know as soon as possible. If you call our offices, somebody will be on hand to advise or provide you with directions. If your group has already left, they may even be able to take you to catch up with them. However, it is always best to arrive as punctually as possible in order to avoid any disappointment, so plan your route accordingly or familiarise yourself with the neighbourhood beforehand.

Come rain or shine, Barcelona eBikes Tours hits the roads. Luckily, Barcelona enjoys about 300 days of sun a year, so you’re not likely get caught in the rain. However, in the unlikely event that your stay in the city coincides with a wet spell, you will have to come prepared as we are not able to provide ponchos or rain-macs for everyone.

Helmets are a legal requirement for all riders under 16 years of age. For anybody over 16, helmets are not obligatory but recommendable, especially if you’re not a confident cyclist. Barcelona is a safe, relaxing city for cyclists but the important thing is that you feel comfortable so you can be free to enjoy what the city has to offer.

Barcelona is a very safe city for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The established routes have been planned with safety in mind and are either equipped with cycle-lanes or have been fully pedestrianised. What is more, almost all crossings will take place at traffic lights and our guides know all the safest routes. However, as always, you will need to use your common sense and pay attention to the vehicles around you.

You don’t need to bring much with you to be able to enjoy a bike tour around this vibrant, unique city. Come with clothing and footwear that is appropriate for safely riding a bike. In the summer, you should consider bringing a hat and sunglasses, while in the winter there can be a chill wind, so it is best to bring a jacket or a spare jumper. And as with all bikes, there’s always a risk of oil – so avoid wearing your best whites! During the hottest months, you should also keep sun-cream and an extra bottle of water with you at all times.

The tour will last approximately 3 hours (1100-1400). However, this can vary according to start time, group size, and the ever-present risk of flat tyres. We therefore give ourselves a grace period of about half an hour. Except in rare circumstances, tours are almost always finished by about 1430. If you have other commitments before this time, please let your guide know so that they can make any necessary changes to the itinerary.

If you can ride a regular bike, you can ride an e-bike! The e-bikes are intuitive and incredibly easy to use. Your guide will explain everything you need to know in the pre-tour briefing and you’ll have the chance to ask questions if you still have any doubts.
