The meeting point is our bike shop at 16 Sant Agustí Vell in the heart of the bohemian neighbourhood of El Born.

Remember, that is Sant Agustí Vellin a city as old as Barcelona, there’s two of everything, so make sure you get the right one so that you don’t miss the start

Your guide will begin check-in fifteen minutes before the tour is due to begin. Try to get there bit before 1600, especially if you know you will want a helmet. That way we can try out different sizes and still start promptly.

The tour will last approximately 3 hours (1100-1400)-(16:00-19:30) However, this can vary according to start time, group size, and the ever-present risk of flat tyres. We therefore give ourselves a grace period of about half an hour. Except in rare circumstances, tours are almost always finished by about 14:30 or 19:30 . If you have other commitments before this time, please let your guide know so that they can make any necessary changes to the itinerary.

Come rain or shine, Barcelona eBikes Tours hits the roads. Luckily, Barcelona enjoys about 300 days of sun a year, so you’re not likely get caught in the rain. However, in the unlikely event that your stay in the city coincides with a wet spell, you will have to come prepared as we are not able to provide ponchos or rain-macs for everyone.

Barcelona is a very safe city for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The established routes have been planned with safety in mind and are either equipped with cycle-lanes or have been fully pedestrianised. What is more, almost all crossings will take place at traffic lights and our guides know all the safest routes. However, as always, you will need to use your common sense and pay attention to the vehicles around you.

It’s easy to get lost in the streets of the old town, even if you’ve lived here for years! If you think you’re lost or know that you’re going to arrive a little late, try to let us know as soon as possible. If you call our offices, somebody will be on hand to advise or provide you with directions. If your group has already left, they may even be able to take you to catch up with them. However, it is always best to arrive as punctually as possible in order to avoid any disappointment, so plan your route accordingly or familiarise yourself with the neighbourhood beforehand.

The itinerary is carefully choosen to avoid traffic and goes by cycle lines and parks, however we do have an specific family tour in case you would like to go at your own pace

We have child seats for kids from 9 months to 5 years

Regular bikes from 5 to 10 years

And electric bikes for the rest

Helmets are a legal requirement for all riders under 16 years of age. For anybody over 16, helmets are not obligatory but recommendable, especially if you’re not a confident cyclist. Barcelona is a safe, relaxing city for cyclists but the important thing is that you feel comfortable so you can be free to enjoy what the city has to offer.

If you can ride a regular bike, you can ride an e-bike! The e-bikes are intuitive and incredibly easy to use. Your guide will explain everything you need to know in the pre-tour briefing and you’ll have the chance to ask questions if you still have any doubts.

However, you do need to be able to ride a bike before arriving as the bikes are not equipped with stabilisers and there is not time for private classes. If you are a novice or are not a confident cyclist, please let our guide know so that they can assess whether you can safely accompany the rest of the group on the tour.

No problem, if you bring your bag with you but you don’t want to take it to the tour, you can leave it in our office.

There is no legal age restrictions for riding a bike. However, there a legal height limit of 145cm (approx. 4’8”) to be able to ride an e-bike. If this minimum height can’t be reached, we can provide one of our standard kids’ bikes and have a selection of seats for infants.

You don’t need to bring much with you to be able to enjoy a bike tour around this vibrant, unique city. Come with clothing and footwear that is appropriate for safely riding a bike. In the summer, you should consider bringing a hat and sunglasses, while in the winter there can be a chill wind, so it is best to bring a jacket or a spare jumper. And as with all bikes, there’s always a risk of oil – so avoid wearing your best whites! During the hottest months, you should also keep sun-cream and an extra bottle of water with you at all times.

Water is provided with all e-bikes & bikes tours . If you have chosen to bring your own  bottle with you can refill it easily here.
